If you are visiting Grenada and are looking for the perfect get away, I’ve got you! True Blue Bay Boutique Hotel was the perfect location for exploring and enjoying the island life. Here are my top 10 reasons why this is a perfect stay.
1. Pools & Beautiful Surroundings
When you’re walking through this resort, you can truly feel the island vibes. The four pools are all incredible places to relax and enjoy being outside. So many pools also means there is always a place to throw down your towel. If you want to be in the action, you can hang by the large beach entry style pool in the center of the resort. It is right next to the Rum Bar, has a slide, and is a more happening area. There are 3 other pools that are quieter, and you could often find yourself completely alone enjoying them. There is truly something for everyone, even a two lane wide lap pool. To add to the ambiance, all of the pools and grounds are surrounded by such beautiful plants and greenery.

2. Comfortable, Private Rooms and Spaces
This resort has different types of accommodation, but all are comfortable, spacious, have A/C, and give you a sense of privacy. You can stay in multilevel or multiroom suites, or you can stay in a “regular hotel room” style room that has outdoor and indoor space. Beds are quite comfortable and the room felt like a quiet get away. We stayed in the Cocoa Pods area and loved our room overlooking the pool with the Grenada sign. We hope to return someday and, if we do, I’d love to get one of the “Tower Suites” which have incredible balconies that allow you to see over the whole property and bay down below.

3. Food
It is such a benefit to have a restaurant/bar on site at your resort. ”The Dodgy Dock” is not just a great resort bar, but a place where guests and locals from all over the island come to relax, eat, and enjoy.
The breakfast buffet is wonderful and serves Caribbean as well as “English” breakfast menu items. They have fresh juices each day as well as baked goods, coffee, and teas.
We had a few meals here as well and really enjoyed the food for lunch! The Dodgy Dock also does different theme nights, such as street food Wednesday, which make it a great way to spend an evening without having to go anywhere!
We also loved having happy hour drinks at the dock for the sunset while enjoying the views.
The Rum Bar on-site by the pool is also an excellent addition, and really gives you that vacation feeling. You can sip a piña colada in a swing next to the pool and relax.
For a quick afternoon snack, the on-site House of Chocolate provides treats like baked goods, shakes, etc. The resort really has all the food & drink you could want!

4. Wellness Options: Gym/Spa/Yoga
Having these wellness options on site really enhances the quality of your vacation. The gym had just gotten a new Peloton bike before we arrived and I had so much fun trying out a class! There were also some free weights and a couple of machines. The yoga studio is beautiful and overlooks the bay. Spa services are also available and make for such a relaxing way to start or end the day.

5. Sustainability Efforts
This is a HUGE one and something I know that many people are really looking for in a place to stay. True Blue has a list a mile long on their website of amazing and creative ways they are working to protect the environment. I will provide a direct link to the list, but aside from many of the usual things we see at hotels now, like reusing bathroom towels and asking guests to turn of AC and lights when outside of the room, they have some surprising and inventive initiatives as well. Some examples include recycling wine bottles to make glassware for the resort to minimize waste, recycled waste water irrigates the gardens on the property, and foods are purchased locally and some vegetables are even grown on site.

6. Diving Options
“Aquanauts” is on site for all of your diving needs! Grenada is known for excellent diving and you don’t even need to leave the resort to hop on a boat and do some diving of your own.

7. Rum Bar
The Rum Bar is such a delightful addition to the resort and really has such a fun feel. You can have a fancy Caribbean drink made for you while relaxing on a swing at the bar or hanging by the pool overlooking the bay. It is the perfect place for the cutest photos, a midday cocktail break while swimming, or for a great happy hour before dinner or a night out!

8. The Kindest Staff
Everyone we met at True Blue was so kind, helpful, and accommodating. Everyone went out of their way to make sure we were happy and had all that we needed. Even upon arrival at 3:00 AM, we were welcomed with huge smiles, kindness, and a golf cart to take us to our room. Every time we had even a simple question, we were met with thoughtful answers and helpful answers.

9. Location
True Blue is in such an excellent location. The resort is on the most beautiful bay and views from anywhere on the resort are so lovely. It’s within a 10 minute drive of the airport, which is great for whenever you’re coming and going. It is also within about a 10 minute drive of Grand Anse Beach and some of the other popular areas of the island. The great thing about the resort, though, is how peaceful it is, slightly away from the action but close enough to reach anything you need. We also loved some of the beaches that were closer by, such as Magazine Beach! Overall the location of True Blue can’t be beat.
10. True (Blue) Peace of Mind
You can visit True Blue and truly not worry about a thing. There is on-site parking, but rides and activities can be arranged for you. You don’t have to worry about being able to get a meal at any time. You have a comfortable and clean room and can be as social as you choose. The resort is well staffed and monitored so you have no safety concerns here since someone is always on staff, at all hours, to support you with anything you need. Fresh and clean drinking water is always available. Overall, you can just be at peace, relax by the bay in the beautiful nature, and trust that they’ve got everything taken care of for you.
